ABOUT US

Suzie Francis

Director

Hi, I’m Suzie,

I am a Christian who is passionate about supporting, motivating and empowering people especially girls and women. For over 20 years I have worked, trained and coached people from all walks of life. At the heart, I nurture women and girls to recognise their worth, build their confidence and self-esteem to work through their lived trauma and make positive changes for their future.

I’ve had the privilege of working for and with women’s groups, charities, local authorities and organisations working with vulnerable men, girls, families & women bringing both structure, honesty, compassion and my faith into every space I work in. I look for solutions to challenges and obstacles not drama or excuses.

As a person, I’m honest, organised, focused and outgoing and I always try to bring positivity into everything I do. My faith is an important part of who I am, and I believe strongly in treating everyone with respect, empathy and honesty.

Nicky Johnson

Operations Manager

Hi, I’m Nicky,

I support and empower women from vulnerable backgrounds, particularly those affected by drugs, alcohol, abuse, and unstable environments and situations. Having lived through similar experiences myself, I bring both understanding and empathy into the work I do, and I have a deep understanding of how women can be impacted and how hard it can feel to move on from situations where you often feel stuck.

Through one-on-one support and guidance, I help women rebuild confidence, overcome barriers, and move towards healthier, more stable lives. Many of the women I’ve worked with have gone on to completely transform their situations, creating positive and normal futures for themselves.

My background includes working in a mother and baby unit, supporting mothers from abusive environments, prison, and rehabilitation, as well as working as a Prostitute Outreach Worker and in drug and alcohol rehabilitation support. Many of the women I have supported have also experienced a lack of consistent guidance, support, and access to education, which has contributed to the challenges they face. I am passionate about supporting those who are often overlooked, because I know firsthand how powerful the right support can be.

My passion lies in helping women realise their worth and potential. I believe that no matter someone’s past, every woman deserves a second chance to rebuild her life and become the best version of herself. This is more than possible with the right help and guidance.

Whenever you feel ready, I’m here to listen, support, and help you take that next step. Contact me on 07981340952 if you have any questions.

Jo Semmelroth

Wellbeing Trainer & Counsellor

Hi, I'm Jo

My background is in drug & alcohol rehabilitation, where I have had the privilege of supporting people through addiction and into recovery. That experience has given me a deep understanding of the challenges people face, as well as the hope and transformation that are possible when someone is supported, encouraged and believed in.

For the past 12 years, I have worked as a personal trainer, helping women grow in confidence, improve their physical and emotional wellbeing , and discover just how strong and capable they are. Whether through exercise, practical workshops, or 1-2-1 support, I love encouraging women to make healthy choices and embrace new challenges.

Alongside this, I hold a diploma in counselling, which enables me to create a safe space for women to explore their thoughts, emotions and their relationship with Jesus. I believe true wellbeing comes from caring for our mind, body & spirit.

As someone who loves Jesus, I am passionate about helping women discover their true identity in Him. My heart is for every woman to know that she is fearfully & wonderfully made, created on purpose for a purpose, and loved beyond measure. Through this project I hope to empower women to grow in confidence, strengthen their faith, and step into the fullness of who God created them to be.

Hebah Bibi

Non-executive Director

Hi, I’m Hebah.

In 2022, I lost my younger sister. It was the toughest moment I could ever imagine, but God continues to give me strength through every step of that journey. That experience transformed my perspective on life, deepening my compassion for others and reminding me of the importance of hope, community and walking alongside people through life’s most difficult moments.

My faith became, and continues to be, my greatest source of strength. It taught me to trust, to persevere and to find hope, even in life’s toughest moments. It continues to shape the way I live and serve others. I hope to share those lessons by empowering others to recognise their strength, embrace hope and believe in the possibility of a brighter future.

Professionally, I am a Chartered Accountant working in business transformation over the last 10+ years, helping organisations navigate change, solve complex problems and create meaningful impact.

It is a privilege to be part of House of H.O.P.E. I hope to use both my professional experience and my personal journey to support others, strengthen our mission, and help create a place where healing, hope and empowerment become a reality for every person who walks through our doors.

Tim Harding

Non-executive Director

Hi, I'm Tim,

In my long career I have been an Associate Professor of Management and Economics at Cranfield University, an international consultant on organisational development and change for over 25 years, Managing Director of my own IT company, and the Change Director of a multi-national logistics company.  Major clients included Unilever, City Bank, Tesco, Sainsbury's and Anglo-Gold Ashanti.  I have worked in over 40 countries world-wide.  More recently, I set up and became the first Director of New Kapporet Christian Helpline and I am involved as a Trustee in a number of other Christian charities.  I am a father to three daughters and six grandchildren.

I will bring a wealth of Christian commitment and management experience to our team at H.O.P.E.
